His debut album Songs from the Campfire was released to widespread critical acclaim and became a breakthrough moment for Craig as an independent artist. Charting in the Top 20 of the UK’s Official Americana (#19), Folk (#16) and Indie Breakers (#20) album charts, it also reached #1 on the Amazon Music HNR Folk Chart and has surpassed 100,000 Spotify streams as of 2025. A deeply personal and powerful body of work, Songs from the Campfire chronicles Gould’s own mental health journey and was released in partnership with the mental health charity CALM, with all profits from the record donated to support their work. The project was recorded across the UK and co-produced by Miles Myerscough-Harris at Whispering Bob’s Under the Apple Tree studios. The album also features standout collaborations with acclaimed musicians such as Anna Corcoran (Robert Vincent / AMA-UK Instrumentalist of the Year), Dan Sealey (Ocean Colour Scene), Blánid (Netflix’s The Witcher) and Chris Baldwin (Riding the Low).

Online, Craig was featured by Music & Tour News, the BCMA and digital distributor CD Baby, who all highlighted his work as “Release of the Week.”

Gould’s live performances reflect the same emotional honesty that drives his songwriting. With six self-managed UK headline tours to date, including numerous sell-out shows and HMV in-store sessions, he’s earned a reputation as a compelling performer. Festival appearances which include The Long Road, Y Not, Camper Calling, Bearded Theory, Timber, Solfest and Rock n Ribs, are complimented by a history of supporting major UK acts such as Levellers, Ocean Colour Scene, Dave Hemingway (The Beautiful South) and Brian Downey (Thin Lizzy); A further testament to Gould's ability of merging genre boundaries and delivering memorable performances to the audience before him. Performing solo or alongside his band The Noble Thieves (Rosie Faith, Lee Cogswell and Jonny Peters), Craig continues to evolve his sound, blending americana’s soul, folk’s storytelling, country’s spirit and the grit of blues into something distinctively his own.
